I'm George. I grew up near East Grinstead in Sussex, and went to boarding school in Windsor, during which time I became very interested in music and art, but was diagnosed with a genetic illness - Crohn's Disease.
I started playing the French Horn when I was nine, and singing, then moved onto guitar, bass and drums when I was 15, mostly jamming with friends and writing my own songs. I discovered trance, techno and drum and bass music. I'm 23, and this has lead to a continued passion, both making music and organising music events for God. (www.soundcloud.com/Godtek)
I then went to art college, doing a foundation course in graphic design at LCC in the Elephant and Castle, London, which was a formative experience in which there began a lot of spiritual searching. I came to Buckingham in July 2011 to study English Literature, and during my two and a half years studying, practiced Buddhism and then Hinduism, which I found unfulfilling after a time, and my spiritual searching continued.
I went back to Sussex and started going to my village church whilst working as a music producer. On returning to do a masters in Global Affairs in 2014, I began to really engage with Jesus through St. Peter and Paul at the 6pm service and the University Christian Union; asking him during the autumn Alpha course to use my life for whatever he willed.
I'm delighted to be working at St. Paul and Peter to be of service, however God calls.
