Prayer Ministry: Available at the 9.30am, 11.00am and 6.00pm services, in the Lady Chapel. At the 11.00am, please come after receiving Communion or later. Receiving prayer brings the Lord’s healing and wholeness.
Welcome Supper: If you are new to Church and have never been to a Welcome Supper at the Rectory, then you are warmly invited to one. These evenings are a great way to meet other newcomers, hear the Vision and ask as many questions as you want! Very informal, no need to bring anything. Confirmation Service: We will welcome Bishop Graham Dow to BPC to confirm and baptise on Sunday 12th November at 6pm. Anyone who would like to be baptised and/or confirmed is asked to let one of the clergy know as soon as possible.
The Spire will be lit on 15th October in memory of Emily Dennis.
Women’s Breakfast: The next breakfast is on Sat 4th November in church at 9.00am with speaker Emma Cottrell. £3 payable on the door.
BPC Kids Glow Party on Tuesday 31st October 2017; Time: 5pm - 6.30pm; Venue: Buckingham Parish Church A fun packed event for BPC Kids to shine brightly for Jesus on Halloween night. There will be fantastic games, crafts, music, food and so much more. Bring your friends along
(children under school age are welcome but are to be supervised by their parents/carers please). Dress code: Bright colours.
Parenting Children Course at Ark. Could you join a team to run the
crèche at our Parenting Children course for two hours each Thursday
during Ark from 2nd November for five weeks. Alex Morten is taking the lead running the crèche, but she needs helpers to ensure we have the right ratios. If you could spare a few hours, even for just one of the weeks, I would be really grateful. Please email Amanda at [email protected].
Changing the World is one of our objectives as a church. A powerful way to do that is through prayer. Please join us to pray for our mission partners, the persecuted church and the needy areas of the world. Outreach Team. Calling anyone wanting to make a difference in our community. We are organising an outreach team to serve our community in many different ways through social action, talking to people, prayer and food amongst others. Please email George at [email protected] for more details.
SOS Team: The SOS Team we run a short term, emergency shelter at The Centre and are looking for additional people to assist in various ways. ([email protected]) or Paul ([email protected])
Christmas Day Lunch: We are looking for someone to ‘project manage’ a Churches Together team to produce a Christmas lunch for those left on their own on Christmas Day. If you could help,, please let the Rector know. Also, if you’d be prepared to help with the cooking/serving, please let the office know. We need to get a team in place soon if we are to proceed with this event.
Restoration Project. I have bought a 1962 Series 2 Landrover as a project to restore. I am hoping this can become a ‘men in sheds’ activity so that a team of men (all ages) might want to meet up to work on it together as a
team. Please contact Will for more information.
The Calling is in the Tower Room on the second Monday of the month at 7.30 pm until 9.00 pm. We are taking a break from looking at prophecy, to considering revivals, recent (1949 Hebridean Revival) and in the past (18th Century). We will ask the question “Will we see a revival in our times?”
Board Games and Jigsaws: Jo Ash is hoping to start a games session for a couple of hours during one of the coffee mornings at The Centre. If anyone has any traditional board games or jigsaws, that they no longer need, please let her know. Also, if you are interested in joining in with this fun activity, Jo would love to hear from you! Bitternes Afloat: Each year a group of 11-18 year olds to the Bitternes Afloat Christian Cruise on the Norfolk Broads to spend a week sailing in cabin yachts and hanging out with God.
