Church Life
We want people to feel welcome when they come along and that's why we offer different types of services to meet different needs and styles. As well as the traditional 9am service, we also have a lively, informal Family Service at 11am and an alternative style service "The 6 o'clock" on Sunday evenings. See the
services page for details of the different services.
We have a Welcome Group, which welcomes the new and the not so new people and makes them feel at home. We are very aware that coming through the door of a church can be a daunting experience for many. We try to be sensitive to those who feel, perhaps, that they would like anonymity; a place of solace or reflection; a place just to be... as well as to those who are new to the area and may like to get more involved at some stage.
We also offer ways in which people can learn about the Christian faith (e.g. Alpha courses) and a number of 'Connect Groups' enable the members to discuss the Bible, their faith and their questions.
We feel it is important to encourage people to feel at home within our Church building, and the weekly community lunch and weekly Coffee Service Café on Saturday mornings have proven to be a huge success. We also offer a variety of groups and activities for toddlers, children, young people and men and women of all ages.
Here the gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed and Lord's Supper shared according to the custom of the Church of England. The Church of England teaches and practices the faith brought to this land in 597 AD by St. Augustine and by his predecessors, but in a variety of both traditional and modern styles.
Do come along and make yourself known to us, we'd love to meet you!
